Presentation: Forgiving our Ancestors: Using the Shamanic Journey for Healing our Ancestral Lineage

Many of us in the 21st century do not know who our ancestors are, let alone communicate with them on a regular basis. According to shamanic traditions our ancestors are important to our everyday lives and eager to help us. They can be a powerful resource for wisdom, knowledge, guidance, protection, and healing. Some of our ancestors can benefit from our help as well. We can reach to the spirit realm and release the shame and guilt of past ancestral deeds through the healing power of forgiveness. This forgiveness can create healing in one’s ancestral lineage. The process of reconciliation helps to free and liberate us from unnecessary negative thoughts and feelings. This allows the healing medicine from one’s ancient ancestral lineage to reach and benefit present-day members.

This workshop is an initiation into a means of accessing, in a safe and sacred manner, connections to our ancestral lineages. It is also an introductory experience into the healing of our ancestral lineages through lecture, the shamanic journey, and our willingness to forgive. Through shamanic journeying each participant will travel to meet a spirit helper for guidance and protection, and then connect with and provide healing to those in their ancestral lineage who need help.
