Workshop Abstract
Research projects conducted at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California; (F. Luskin, 2002) have shown that forgiveness leads to increased hope, physical vitality, and an appreciation of the spiritual aspects of life as well as reduced stress, blood pressure, hurt, anger, and depression.
This workshop will offer guided practice in the nine steps of forgiveness training based on the principles of cognitive therapy, narrative approaches, mindfulness, and guided imagery practices designed to facilitate positive emotion. Participants will learn the core components of how a grievance is created and how to practice forgiveness in both their personal and professional lives.
